It feels like every day is a battle between you and many distractions such as social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, mobile and text notifications. Those things are calling for your attention. All of this seems hungry for your attention.
Good planning is insurance against future moodiness and inconsistency.
Do your important thinking when you are mentally sharp.

I find this interesting tweets in my feed.
When you are writing your to-do list or things that you wanted to get things done today. You are not just creating a laundry list of stuff you wanted to do. You are also choosing where to spend your time and attention.
You are prioritizing what really matters to you to be able to move forward with your goals.
Without the to do list it feels like you are going to grocery store and you have an idea what you need to buy but most of the time there are items that are looking for your attention. Those items that are 20% in the sale, junk food you want to eat. All of those items that don’t really have to do your original intention. The worst part is you forgot what you need to buy.
Yeah, So it’s important to have some sort of plan for each day so that you know where you need to spend your time.
