This thoughts were inspired when I was trying to finish some freelance work in the middle of the afternoon where the sun was currently at its peak of hotness. My MacBook Pro laptop was surely unusable even it’s already using all it’s fan just to survive the hit. My current workstation doesn’t have air condition.

I already close a lot of unused application but still lagging a lot and become unusable because of the hit. I’ve given up on this and just do something else.

This surely reminds me that it’s already summer in the Philippines. And there would be a lot of summers get together with friends. Again and again, it always reminds me that I need to learn to swim. haha.

Speaking of tropical season in the Philippines a lot of people complaining a lot because of the extreme hit around 1 pm to 4 pm—including me. Even the water in the refrigerator feels like hot water because of the absence of cold.

This brings me to the thoughts on why we people always complain about something especially the weather. When it was too hot we want something super cold drinks to escape the heat and to satisfy our thirst. Or we wish there would be rain already.

When the seasons of raining come and we wanted to go outside we mostly wish there would be a sun to lighten up our day. Rainy seasons make you stay a lot in your home.

Why we always something else rather than enjoying the current mood of the weather? Why we always wanted to escape? Why can’t we appreciate what we currently have? Why we want something more?

Yin yang

This reminds me of a symbol of Yin & Yang. You know that circle with a black and white thing that is divided into two with a small circle between the divided color. In white shade, there is a small black. In black shade, there is a white shade.

According to its descriptions from Chinese philosophy: Yin / Yang: Two halves that together complete wholeness. Yin and yang are also the starting point for change. When something is whole, by definition, it’s unchanging and complete. So when you split something into two halves – yin/yang, it upsets the equilibrium of wholeness. Both halves are chasing after each other as they seek a new balance with each other.

Yin and yang elements come in pairs, such as the moon and the sun, female and male, dark and bright, cold and hot, passive and active, and so on.

And now, it leads to some interesting part which is cold and hot. Two things that are completely different couldn’t exist without each other. There cannot be a shadow without light. They must co-exist.

In life, it was too impossible if you are only on one state like you can’t be 100% happy all the time. It was crazy if you are in just in this state. You know those things that you see on Instagram where all people posting seems to have their live figure out and they look really happy. Well, no one really posts the other side of them.

You can’t appreciate happiness if you didn’t experience extreme sadness. Going to different emotions makes you appreciate other things. You know the feeling when it was raining like crazy and the weather was sad, all you want is your favorite coffee to sip or eat something hot to get some heat while reading books or watching some Netflix. Other times you wish there would be someone who you can cuddle with you it this cold evening.

There is great satisfaction when you drink super cold iced tea in summer. It feels like all the heat and worries in your body have been removed. Oh, when you take the cold showers in summer it feels really good.

That kind of thing that makes you really enjoy the small things.
